Executive director
Industrial Engineer with a Master’s degree in Sustainable Development and Biological Conservation from the University of Maryland (USA). As an environmental expert, she has more than 20 years of experience in issues related to the environment, conservation and climate change. She has worked as a professional in the private and public sectors, as well as in international cooperation, where he has demonstrated a solid commitment and leadership in various initiatives. In 2023, it was recognized by the Sachamama organization and the EFE Verde news agency as one of the 100 Latinos committed to climate action.
Technical Project Director
Biologist, graduated from the Faculty of Biological Sciences of the National University of the Peruvian Amazon (UNAP), with a Master’s degree in Forests and Forest Resources Management from the National Agrarian University La Molina (UNALM). He has 25 years of experience working on the management of natural resources of tropical forests and leading conservation projects and initiatives linked to indigenous and local populations. As a member of Conservación Amazónica – ACCA, it is responsible for accompanying the design, execution and monitoring of the institutional strategic plan, as well as to ensure the articulation between ACCA's thematic addresses. He also coordinates conservation actions in concession for Conservación Los Amigos.
Conservation Director
Forest engineer graduated from the National Agrarian University La Molina (UNALM), with a specialization in forest management and a master’s degree in forest resources conservation. He has received training in project monitoring and planning at the InWEnt Institute (Germany) and in water quality monitoring at the Stroud Water Research Center in Pennsylvania (USA). With more than 25 years of professional experience, he has been part of the teams of various environmental organizations in Peru. He is an active member of the Waterkeeper Alliance through the Río Mapacho Waterkeeper program in Cusco.
Director of Science
Ecologist and evolutionary biologist from Princeton University (USA), with a PhD from the University of Michigan (USA). As Director of Science, she oversees research, training, education, and outreach at ACCA’s three biological stations and at the Los Amigos Conservation Concession. She began her career in Bolivia, evaluating the impacts of logging valuable timber species such as mahogany and catahua. She has conducted research in Yasuni National Park (Ecuador) and at La Selva Biological Station (Costa Rica). Between 2003 and 2024, she was part of an interdisciplinary conservation initiative across seven countries in America as part of the Andes-Amazon program of the Field Museum of Chicago. She is also a member of the science panel for the Amazon.
SIG director and conservation technologies
Biologist graduated from the National Agrarian University La Molina (UNALM), with a master’s degree in biodiversity conservation and sustainability from the Institute of Ecological Research (Brazil). He has more than 20 years of experience as a researcher, project manager, and specialist in natural resource management, biological monitoring, and threat monitoring in the Amazon. He has led projects focused on the development and application of technological solutions for forest conservation. He currently specializes in the development, use and implementation of technologiesl to monitor the conservation status of natural ecosystems.
Director of Environmental Policies and Governance
Lawyer specializing in Environmental and Natural Resources Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP), MBA Executive from CENTRUM PUCP, with master’s degrees in Public Services Regulation from the University of the Pacific (UP) and Infrastructure Management from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (Spain). He holds a PhD in Law and Political Science. He is an expert in institutional arrangements and the implementation of environmental public policies. He is a member of the IUCN World Commission on Environmental Law (CMDA), the National Institute for Mining Law, Petroleum and Energy Law, and the Peruvian Society for Environmental Impact Assessment (SPEIA).
Director (I) Madre de Dios
Forest engineer graduated from the National University of San Antonio Abad of Cusco (UNSAAC). She has pursued studies at INCAE Business School (Costa Rica) and the University of the Pacific, focusing on the formulation of financing projects related to forests, biodiversity, and ecosystems for the implementation of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) in Latin America. She specializes in public investment projects in environmental matters and has more than 10 years of experience coordinating and implementing conservation projects linked to local communities and sustainable productive development in the southern Peruvian Amazon.
Director of Administration and Finance
Certified Public Accountant, with a Master’s degree in Accounting with a specialization in Auditing from the National University of San Antonio Abad of Cusco (UNSAAC). She has more than 20 years of experience in administration, finance, accounting, and human resources within NGOs specializing in Amazonian forests in the Cusco and Madre de Dios regions. She has also participated in social development, water management and climate change projects in high Andean communities in Cusco and Apurímac.

Social communicator from the University of San Martín de Porres (USMP), with a master’s degree in Public and Social Management. She has more than 20 years of experience in communications and environmental conservation. Her career includes a strong focus on citizen participation, social conflict management, and collaboration Indigenous peoples. As a member of Conservación Amazónica – ACCA, she promotes awareness and communication initiatives to encourage sustainable practices and biodiversity conservation. Her experience includes communication planning, awareness campaigns, content development, event organization, and media relations.
Gerente de ciencia de la Estación Biológica Los Amigos
Biólogo del Reino Unido con una licenciatura en Zoología por la Universidad de Derby, un máster en Biodiversidad y Conservación por la Universidad de Leeds y un doctorado en Ecología Evolutiva por la Universidad Queen Mary de Londres, donde también trabajó junto con la Sociedad Zoológica de Londres y el Instituto Smithsonian de Investigaciones Tropicales. Food Industry Engineer from the National Agrarian University La Molina (UNALM), with a Master’s degree in Sustainable Environment Management from the University of Salamanca (Spain). He has completed studies at INCAE Business School (Costa Rica), ESAN University, and the San Ignacio de Loyola Institute (ISIL) in project financing related to forests, biodiversity, and ecosystems for the implementation of Nationally Determined contributions (NDCS) in Latin America.
He has extensive experience across the public, private, and NGO sectors in foreign trade, biodiversity, sustainable development, value chain strengthening, and the revaluation of ancestral knowledge.
Science Project Coordinator
Biologist with graduate studies in the Forest Resources Conservation Program at the National Agrarian University La Molina (UNALM). She has more than 10 years of experience in wildlife assessment, with an emphasis on Neotropical mammals and participatory work with communities. She has collaborated on projects related to natural resources use, sustainable development, protected area creation, and environmental diagnostics. She has served as coordinator and safety supervisor for biological monitoring projects in the mining and energy sectors.
Andean Restoration Specialist and Community Relations
Biologist from the National University of San Antonio Abad of Cusco (UNSAAC), with a master's degree in Forestry and Forest Resource Management from the National Agrarian University La Molina (UNALM). With more than 20 years of experience, she has been part of the research team of the Missouri Botanical Garden and the Aberg Group, establishing forest monitoring plots in the upper Manu National Park. At Conservación Amazónica – ACCA, she works on conservation and restoration projects in Andean-Amazonian ecosystems, collaborating closely with high Andean communities and supporting the establishment and management of regional conservation areas.
Scientific Manager - Wayqecha Biological Station
Biologist from the National University of San Antonio Abad of Cusco (UNSAAC), with a master's degree in Plant and Fungal Taxonomy, Conservation, and Biodiversity from Queen Mary University of London and Kew Gardens (UK). She has more than eight years of experience working in the tropical jungle of Peru and Costa Rica, which has allowed her to participate, develop and lead different conservation and biodiversity projects. At Conservación Amazónica – ACCA, she leads the Andean bear conservation project in Manu National Park. She was recognized as a National Geographic Explorer (2021), Disney Conservation Hero (2022), Women of Discovery awardee (2024), and recipient of the prestigious Future For Nature Award (2025).
Conservation Concession Coordinator Los Amigos Madre de Dios
Forest Engineer from the National University of San Antonio Abad of Cusco (UNSAAC), with a Diploma in Business Administration. He has experience developing management plans and technical documents for forest concessions and native communities, particularly in the southeastern sector of Alto Purús National Park.
His professional background includes the implementation of sustainable livelihood projects.
As a member of Conservación Amazónica – ACCA, he contributes to wildlife and natural resource conservation, applying protocols for the protection of Indigenous Peoples in Initial Isolation and First Contact (Piaci).

Environmental Engineer from Union Peruvian University (UPEU), with experience in ecological restoration and territorial coordination with high Andean communities. As a member of Conservación Amazónica – ACCA, he leads the propagation of native species using vegetative and sexual techniques, as well as the implementation of community nursery systems aimed at restoring plant cover and strengthening ecosystem resilience.
Conservation Areas Coordinator
Biologist from the National University of San Antonio Abad of Cusco (UNSAAC), with a master's degree in Ecology and Natural Resources. She has more than 20 years of experience in research projects related to insect diversity in agricultural and wild ecosystems, including queñuales forests in Cusco, Puno and Áncash. She has participated in afforestation and reforestation initiatives using native species and in the development of awareness materials for native forests protection. As a member of Conservación Amazónica – ACCA, she supports the establishment of regional, private, and community conservation areas.

Diseñadora gráfica por la Facultad de Arte y Diseño de la Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP), cuenta con cuatro años de experiencia en comunicación socioambiental en la Amazonía peruana. Su trabajo se caracteriza por el desarrollo de estrategias creativas que buscan generar cercanía, sensibilización e impacto en comunidades locales. Como Coordinadora de Comunicación Estratégica para Ciencia y Estaciones Biológicas en Conservación Amazónica – ACCA, se especializa en diseño UX, storytelling y campañas de comunicación, creando contenidos que conectan la ciencia con las personas e impulsan acciones a favor de la conservación de la biodiversidad.
Specialist in Geographic Information Systems and Regional Remote Management of God
Forestry and Environmental Engineer, with a specialization in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Remote Sensing, and a master's degree in Geographic Information Technologies (TIG). He has experience in base cartography, geospatial data management, satellite image processing, and spatial analysis applied to environmental, forestry, agricultural, and territorial planning projects. He has led cadastral, territorial monitoring, and environmental analysis initiatives, integrating technical knowledge with management skills. His current work focuses on implementing new geospatial and programming based methodologies to strengthen decision-making for sustainable forest management.

He has more than 20 years of experience in biological and threat monitoring in the southern Amazon, particularly in the Madre de Dios region. As a member of Conservación Amazónica – ACCA, he specializes in the use and training of technological tools such as mobile applications and drones for surveillance, control, and monitoring of ecosystem conservation status.

Bióloga por la Universidad Nacional de San Agustín, con más de cinco años de experiencia en proyectos de conservación y monitoreo biológico en ecosistemas andinos y amazónicos. Ha participado en la elaboración de expedientes técnicos para el establecimiento de las Áreas de Conservación Regional San Pedro de Chonta y Yanajanca, incluyendo procesos de socialización y coordinación con autoridades y comunidades locales. Su experiencia abarca el monitoreo de fauna mediante transectos lineales, colpas de guacamayos y metodologías como redes de niebla y puntos de conteo, además del manejo de plataformas de ciencia ciudadana y la publicación de artículos científicos.

Bachiller en Ingeniería en Gestión Ambiental, cuenta con experiencia en protección de recursos naturales, manejo ambiental y trabajo de campo. Su trayectoria incluye la participación en iniciativas de conservación e investigación sobre el uso de la tierra y la conservación de la biodiversidad en la Amazonía peruana, desarrolladas durante su práctica preprofesional. Además, cuenta con formación complementaria en manejo forestal y de fauna silvestre comunitaria, así como en Seguridad, Salud Ocupacional y Medio Ambiente (SSOMA) y Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo (SST), fortaleciendo su enfoque integral en la gestión ambiental y la conservación de los ecosistemas.

Originally from the native community of Monte Salvado, he is recognized for his deep knowledge of Indigenous Peoples in Isolation and Initial Contact (PIACI) and his close relationship with the territory. In a region where rivers are the main transportation routes, his ability to operate outboard motors is essential for fishing, mobility, and territorial monitoring. He is fluent in the Yine language (his native language), and his life reflects a strong connection to his culture and the surrounding natural environment.

Holds a master's degree in Social Management from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP), and a master's degree in Social Business Management for Innovation and Local Development from EAFIT University (Colombia), and a bachelor’s degree in Sustainable Tourism from Antonio Ruiz de Montoya University (UARM). Project Coordinator - ACR Moquegua
Biologist from the National University of the Altiplano (Puno), specialized in wildlife management and conservation, cultural heritage evaluation, and environmental monitoring. He has extensive experience in natural resource conservation. As a member of Conservación Amazónica – ACCA, he provides technical assistance to the Regional Government of Moquegua in establishing the Huaynaputina-Pasto Grande Regional Conservation Area. In this role, he leads and executes biodiversity conservation programs and projects, promotes sustainable land use practices and the protection of strategic ecosystems in the region.

Guardaparque con experiencia en la gestión y conservación de áreas naturales protegidas, inició su trayectoria en 2018 como voluntario comunal en la Reserva Nacional Pacaya Samiria, donde posteriormente se desempeñó como guardaparque oficial. In coordination with the drone unit, staff from the Manu and Wayqecha Biological Stations, and volunteer teams, he supports training in the management and operation of technical equipment. He has been working at the institution for more than 15 years.

Graduated of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP) with a degree in Audiovisual Communication. She is a filmmaker, producer, and photographer specialized in documentary projects. She has worked in film, theater, and audiovisual productions focused on environmental conservation, education, and culture. Her short films have received awards at national and international festivals, and her photography, centered on nature and landscapes, has been recognized in multiple competitions.

Bachiller en Ciencias Biológicas, cuenta con experiencia en el registro y monitoreo de especies de flora y fauna, así como en el desarrollo de actividades orientadas a la conservación de la biodiversidad. GIS Specialist and Regional Teledetection
Agricultural Engineer from the National University of San Antonio Abad of Cusco (UNSAAC), with a Master's degree in Climate Change and Sustainable Development. He specializes in environmental management, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Disaster Risk Management. With more than 12 years of experience, he works on strengthening the capacities of forest managers and applying early-warning technologies in Andean-Amazonian ecosystems. He currently advises regional governments and allied communities on the creation and management of regional and private conservation areas.

Cuenta con 20 años de experiencia en la implementación de proyectos ambientales, económicos y sociales, trabajando con cooperación internacional y organismos del Estado. Como Coordinadora del Proyecto Manu Mujer en Conservación Amazónica – ACCA, su trayectoria se enfoca en el fortalecimiento de capacidades organizacionales, la articulación interinstitucional y la gestión de iniciativas empresariales con énfasis en mujeres. Está especializada en gestión empresarial de organizaciones, turismo de conservación y en la formulación, ejecución y evaluación de proyectos y emprendimientos económicos orientados al desarrollo sostenible.

He has participated in various research projects on early warnings for the application of fungicides, spatial modeling of diseases in potato crops, and socioeconomic characterization of farmers.
